In May 2018, invited by @galerieenriconavarra , @catherinevincentdigne and @agence.xbc@kennyscharf spent a few days in the south of France to create a temporary installation at the Terrasse @ugcdistribution for the @festivaldecannes and install a sculpture on the beach just opposite. Before spending a few days at Villa Navarra in Le Muy where he created two fantastic and huge works on canvas. Throughout his stay, the artist agreed to have the photographer @simonschwyzer (1986-2021), commissioned by @parismatch @carolinemangez and the gallery, document his work during his stay. Warm and immediately friendly relations between artist and photographer resulted in a fantastic photo series. A few weeks later I received this video clip made by Simon from his own photos. A trace of a few happy days lost in the twists and turns of electronic memories and the tumults of time... working on the photographer’s archives I found it yesterday, almost 6 years later. After sending it to @dorianonavarra and Kenny to ask for his agreement to publish it, I received this spontaneous response: “Hi Sebastian, of course please use it. He was such a sweetheart. See you next month. Xo “. Works ©️Kenny Scharf, courtesy Galerie Navarra - Architecture ©️ @rudyricciotti courtesy Villa Navarra - 📷 Simon Schwyzer ©️L.S courtesy @editionssebastienmoreu
